Hit the Spot Wins DinsMEAL Food Truck Destination
Hit the Spot was voted best food truck in Tom Dinsdale’s DinsMEAL Food Truck Destination on July 30-31.
Sticky Rice came in second place, and The Snow took third in the food truck rally at the Grand Island automotive dealership.
For garnering the most votes out of 289 cast, the operators of Hit the Spot received $500 for themselves and $500 for Children’s Hospital, the charity of their choosing.
Barbara Moore – one of hundreds who attended the event to enjoy Mexican, American and Asian cuisine – won a $100 gift card. Everyone who cast a ballot for their favorite food truck was entered in the drawing.
With inventory light because of challenges in the automotive supply chain, the DinsMEAL Food Truck Destination provided an opportunity to bring the community together, provide money for charity and highlight some of the area’s best food trucks.
